                                         July 9-13th   
Location:
Summer camp is located in the Great Bridge/Hickory area of Chesapeake, VA on seven acres of beautiful woods and trails.  You will receive directions with your camp packet.

Camp dates:    "Music Blast Camp"          July 9th - 13th, 2012 
Camp times: 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM each day.  (ages 6 yrs and up)

 
Directors Clint, Sandy, Jessica, Jennifer and Joshua Hunt all share a love and passion for teaching.  They have produced 5 CD's, a DVD and perform internationally.  Sandy has  published two books, "101 Sizzling Tips for Excellence on the Violin", and "Fiddle Book" which are both sold nationally.

Summer camp is offered to children on all levels. Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced students are welcome!

Instruction:  Lessons will be offered in Fiddle, Violin, Acoustic and Electric Guitar, Electric Bass, Singing, beginning piano, Mandolin and Step Dance.

Music Blast Camp Concert:   Concert: July 13th at 2 PM at the  Chesapeake Central Library on Cedar Rd in Chesapeake, VA.  Open to all parents and families.

All Classes will end by 3 PM each day

 
  Campers will receive a music packet one week before camp.  Please put music in a 3 ring binder and bring it to camp each day!  Upon arrival, each camper will receive a t-shirt of a specific team color.  Please wear your camp shirt each day!  Campers will receive points for their team by practicing and various other activities.  The goal of our camp is to learn while having a great time!  Some of our activities for "Music Blast Camp" will include: Scatterball, Knock-out, Soccer,  Cornhole, Horseshoes, Water Games, Relay Races and more!  We will finish out the week by giving a final concert.  
  Registration will begin Jan 1st, 2012  Submit registration form online (below) along with your $25 non-refundable registration fee.

Music Blast Camp 2012: $250 ($225 + $25 registration) before June 5, 2012 to The Hunt Family, PO Box 16123, Chesapeake, VA 23328.  Make check payable to "Hunt Family".  Please include a photo of your camper!

Registration covers music, T shirt and postage.  All T shirt orders must be turned in by June 5th in order to receive a T shirt!
Deadline: June 5, 2012 (late registration after June 5 will require an additional $50 late fee)


Tuition is due by June 5th.  Campers might want to bring some extra spending cash during camp for snacks and drinks.

 

       Music Blast Camp 2012: Please select one class from each time slot and include on registration form: 

9 AM:         Violin/Strings          or       Beg.Gtr/Mandolin/Uke        or       Rock Band (Elec/Acoust/Bass)

Campers must provide their own instruments, water bottles and lunches each day.  Label your music, water bottles, lunches and all instruments with your camper's name.  We will have water coolers on site.  Comfortable shoes are required for dance classes and sporting activities.  No flip flops or sandals please!  Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase in the lobby. 

Instruments:  Each camper must bring their own instrument.  We have violins available to rent for the week.  Beginner guitars
 (ages 6 - 11 yrs) may be purchased at
Walmart or Toys R Us.    Beginner piano students must bring small electronic keyboard which may be purchased at Walmart Toys R Us seems to have the best selection at the lowest prices.  Follow the links.


Violins are available for rent for $18 for the week.  Please let us know before camp session if you need to rent a violin.  Mail in payment of $18 to "Hunt Family" for violin rental.
